Product CodeWP45

The label is inscribed:

F.Breton, breveté de S.M.G.
M. la Duchesse d'Angoulème
Mirecourt 18 Breton

Also branded Breton on the button.

An early Breton violin, probably circa 1900.  This instrument has come to us in part exchange and is offered as is. It is a little scruffy, the edges are worn in places, especially the C bout on the treble side, see photo. There is also an ancient repaired crack in the back but it is correctly repaired and near invisible. The back measurement is: 357 mm. Setup with ebony fittings, Dominant strings and supplied in a new case. Breton violins always have a balanced warm sweet tone with good volume. A cheap fiddle!
