An interesting violin by Gustave Bazin, this maker was the son of the famous Charles Nicolas Bazin who made superb bows, many of which you will see for sale on this site. The length of the back is 357 mm. Set up with ebony fittings and the original rosewood pegs, Larsen Virtuoso strings and supplied in a new lightweight case. Condition is excellenty apart from a blemish to the varnish to the lower right bout on the back, more noticeable in the photo because of the lighting, made circa 1900 - 1905. The violin has a vibrant rich tone, well balanced with good volume and excellent in the high positions. A well made instrument that is a pleasure to play!
