A very fine violin from one of the best makers of this period, Georges Apparut. This lovely example is one of his Italian style instruments in which he used the Marcel Cyrano label. in excellent condition, just very minor blemishes. The violin is made from first class materials with much attention to detail and finished in a lustrous red/orange oil varnish over a golden ground. The two piece back length is 355 mm. Set up with fine quality ebony fittings, Evah Pirazzi strings and supplied in a new lightweight case. This is a nice violin to play with a lovely classy tone, very clear in the treble and with a beautiful bass sound. The violin was made circa 1925/30, it is dated on the label 1929. A fine instrument for player or collector!
