A fine original instrument by, Ch.J.B.Collin-Mezin, labelled and signed inside on the lower right bout, these instruments are becoming more scarce as time passes, this example is dated 1923 and carries the 24 bis extra which denotes the best quality. In extremely good condition, with original rosewood pegs and other fittings in ebony, Obligato strings and supplied in a new case. The length of the one piece back is 357 mm. This violin has the lovely full rich sound which is a feature of the Collin-Mezin instruments. A fine instrument, recommended!
