Nicolas Bertholini violin, they are good intermediate grade violins with a balanced tone, sonorous base and good volume, always pre-dated to 1810 but actually made between 1910 and 1930. The length of the back is 358 mm. In good clean condition, no damage or repairs, finished in a rich plum colour varnish but quite a plain looking violin hence the low price. Set up with rosewood fittings, Pro-Arte strings and supplied in a new lined case. Typical clear and balanced tone associated with these instruments. An inexpensive violin!
