With a West Country Violins certificate.

A fine quality violin made byLouis Collenot in his Paris atelier in 1924. Louis was a very acomplished maker having worked in his earlier years with Caussin and with Honoré Derazey. He was also maker to the Paris Conservatoire. His instruments are very much in the style of the Cremonese violins, made a touch smaller than the standard French of the period. This example is in excellent condition, just the smallest of varnish imperfections, a violin that has aged gracefully over the years! Signed and dated inside on the back in ink which was his way of annotating his violins. The back length is 353 mm. Set up with ebony and rosewood fittings, Obligato strings and supplied in a new lightweight case. With a lovely warm sonorous tone and good clarity. A pleasure to play!
