A fine violin by Joseph and André Chardon dated 1919. André CHARDON comes from a long line of violin makers which began with  Georges CHANOT (1801-1883). André was the son and pupil of Marie Joseph Antoine Georges CHARDON. He began his collaboration with his father in 1912. This example of these luthiers work is in superb condition, well made and with good attention to detail, no damage or repairs, just the smallest of varnish marks. The tone is rich and well balanced with plenty of volume. Length of the back is: 358 mm. Setup with Larsen Virtuoso strings and supplied in a new case. A well made violin which has a very good rich sound. Recommended!
