A good nickel mounted bois d'abeille (beewood) bow by Louis Bazin made for and stamped Pillot This is quite an early period bow and was made around 1920, this can be ascertained by the very narrow head. The stick is in a rich dark chocolate colour, straight and with good balance, there are some small grain imperfections in the centre of the stick but these cause no problems and give the bow a real character. Just rehaired. This bow is exceptionally good value!
