The Jerome Thibouville-Lamy workshops acquired the Buthod brand around 1885, this subsequently became one of their top models along with the Barnabetti, they are very well made from good materials and with nicely carved scrolls and "F" holes. This example is in excellent condition with just varnish marks and imperfections. The one piece back length is: 14.1/8 inches, (35.8cm.) Set up with high quality ebony fittings, Pro-Arte strings and supplied in a new case. An instrument with an opened and balanced tone, typical of this model. Very reasonably priced!
