Expert Près La Cour d'Appel de Paris.

Not particularly well known but a superb maker, born in 1897. Emile Jeandat studied under Mangenot and his violins are described as having "superb Strad. modelling and splendid oil varnish". The length of the two piece back is 14.1/8 inches (35.9 cm.), in beautiful near mint condition. Made from narrow flamed maple and with a close grained spruce front. The violin has rosewood fittings and an ebony chinrest. Setup with Dominant strings and supplied in a new lightweight case. A lovely sounding violin with a vibrant tone and good balance. A very nice instrument, recommended!
