A fine quality violin by J.Leclerc he was a luthier working for the Laberte-Magnié workshops from 1910 to 1929 and managed to make some really good instruments, usually with a good back length. The length of the two piece back is 14.1/16 inches (35.7 cm.), in very clean condition without damage or repairs apart from one very minor wing crack repair on the right hand side and small varnish marks. All the fittings are in rosewood including the chinrest. Setup with Dominant strings and supplied in a new lightweight case. A lovely sounding violin with a vibrant tone and good balance. A nice instrument, recommended!
