A fine violin by Amédée Dieudonné In beautiful condition with just the smallest of varnish marks. Amédée Dieudonné is a highly sought after maker, this is a beautiful example of his work in the style of Stradivarius. Well made with good attention to detail, note the quality of the carving to the sound holes, button and scroll. Signed inside on the lower back, also branded just above the label. The violin is dated 1949 and numbered 406. The back length is 14.1/16 inches (357mm), The fittings are in rosewood, set up with Obligato strings and supplied in a new light weight case. This instrument has a lovely deep and haunting sound with much clarity and warmth. A fine instrument that will always increase in value and is a pleasure to play!
