Product CodeWP14
Sound Clip

An interesting well constructed violin made by Pailliot and branded inside on the back Pailliot à Paris, although he was known to have worked in Mirecourt he always branded as if in Paris. His violins were robustly made with a tone to match the construction. In  nice condition without repairs or damage, just some varnish blemishes, in fact considering this is a violin nearly 190 years old it is superb! The one piece back is 14.1/4 inches long (362 mm.) The fittings are in ebony, set up with Dominant strings and supplied in a new light weight case. This instrument has a lovely deep rich tone with good balance and lots of power. An early instrument of character, recommended!
