states the following about the maker.

Son and pupil of Marius Didier. Worked in Metz 1936. Won several gold medals at Paris and Toulouse. Reproductions of old Italian types. Splendid workmanship. Orange or shaded reddish brown varnish, masterly applied.
Violin labelled Andreas Borelli, circa 1920. £795.00 stock no. WP43
Méditation de Thais.
The label is inscribed:
Andreas Borelli fecit Parmæ
anno 1720

A violin of the Borelli school labelled Andreas Borelli, 1720. I have sold many of these Borelli violins, they are always consistent in quality and tone, similar to the Bertholini violins. In good condition with just varnish marks and wear and a small amount of varnish re-touching to the lower back. The violin has a one piece back 14.1/8 inches (35.9 cm.). The fittings are fine quality rosewood, new Pro-Arte strings and supplied in a new lightweight case. An instrument with a good balanced tone, clear and with good volume. Excellent value!
