A D.Soriot violin from the Laberte workshops, circa 1900. £1,750.00 stock no. WP41
J.S.Bach Sonata in G major.
A very nice violin from the Marc Laberte workshops labelled Lutherie Artistique, D.Soriot. This was one of the Laberte top quality models, it is a well made instrument with attention paid to the finer details such as the F holes, button and fine carving to the scroll. The back length is 14.1/16 inches (35.7cm.), set up with boxwood and ebony fittings, new Dominant strings and supplied in a new case. This is a violin with a lovely lyrical tone, excellent in the upper register. Recommended!
