The label is signed and dated in ink and numbered 214
A beautiful violin made by Charles Le Lyonnais who won the Laureate at the Luthiers Exhibition Paris in 1921. He studied under Emile Audinot, William Henley states that his designs were flawless and with perfect workmanship. The back length is: 14.1/16 inches (35.7 cm.). Condition is excellent, there is no damage or repairs, just very minor varnish imperfections. Set up with Dominant strings, and supplied in a new case. A violin with a lovely tone that has a bell like quality, with a warm sonorous bass. A superb violin for player and collector!
