A well made good quality Bernardel workshop violin. In very nice condition without damage or repairs, just some varnish wear, mainly to the back, the back length is: 14.3/16 inches (36 cm.). Note the black lining to the bevels of the scroll, very much a feature of good quality French violins of this period. The violin also has a Couesnon label who would have been the original supplier of this violin. Set up with ebony fittings with new Dominant strings and supplied in a new light weight case. This instrument has a lovely balanced sweet tone with good balance. A good instrument and a pleasure to play!
