A fine quality violin made by Charles Moinel who was the nephew of N.E. Cherpitel, Charles managed and eventually took over his uncles workshops after his death. Well made and with good attention paid to the finer points such as scroll, button etc. This example is in excellent condition, no repairs just minor varnish imperfections. The back measures 14 inches (35.6cm.). The fittings are in ebony. New Dominant strings and supplied in a new lightweight case. A violin with a lovely lyrical tone, well balanced and with good projection. A chance to acquire a quality violin from an excellent luthier!
