Bach Cantabile.
The Thiery violins were made by a luthier by the name of Thierray who worked in Mirecourt and Paris, many of his workshop fiddles were just labelled Thiery a Paris as is the case with this one. Loosely based on the Guarnerius model, this example has no repairs, just small varnish marks and imperfections. The back is one piece, the length is: 14.1/8 inches (35.8 cm.). Set up with Dominant strings, quality ebony fittings and supplied in a new case. A sweet lyrical tone, well balanced and with a deep bass sound. These are well made violins, note the good scroll! An excellent violin!
