A good quality instrument from a well known maker in the style of Guarnerius. William Henley's Dictionary of violin and bow makers says of Jean Striebig, "Splendid individualistic models in addition to admirable copies of standard types". The length of the back is 13.15/16 inches (35.4cm.). In first class condition without any repairs or damage, just some very minor varnish marks. Fine quality ebony and rosewood fittings, Dominant strings and supplied in a new case. These violins have a beautiful almost oboe like tone. A fine instrument, highly recommended!
