Sound clip.
The label is inscribed:
Lutherie Artistique
M.COUTURIEUX

Always consistent in their tone and quality of manufacture M.Couturieux violins are choice for an intermediate player wanting a good sound at an affordable price, they do however vary in the choice of wood used, some can be quite plain whereas others have good figure, this example is is one of the best I have seen. The back length is: 14.3/16 inches, (36 cm). In excellent condition without any damage or repairs apart from a very minor repaired grain split on the lower bout to the right of the tailpin. The fittings are in rosewood including the chinrest, the violin has just been set up with Dominant strings and is supplied in a new lightweight case. A well balanced full and resonant tone with lots of volume. A nice violin, recommended!
