A well made Amèdée Dieudonne violin, made by one of his assistants in his own workshop. The length of the back is 13.15/16 inches (35.4 cm.). Set up with rosewood and ebony fittings, Dominant strings and supplied in a new lightweight case. The condition of the instrument is very good apart from some rib damage that has now been repaired, the upper and lower rib on the right hand side have been replaced and a small piece has been replaced to the upper rib on the left hand side (see photo). It does not affect the tone of the instrument, the rest of the violin is excellent and it is half price! A responsive violin with lovely clarity and warmth.
